Breakfast in Santiago de Compostela
BREAKFAST 08:00 – 13:00, EVERY DAY · AFTERNOON MENU 16:30 – 20:00 · RÚA DE SAN CLEMENTE, 6
We open at eight in the morning, seven days a week, in the middle of the old town of Santiago, three minutes on foot from the Cathedral and the Praza do Obradoiro. Whether you are on your way to work, you have just walked in off the Camino, or you simply want a slow Sunday breakfast — the kitchen is open from first thing.
Our full breakfasts come with coffee or tea included. And if you would rather build your own, we have toasts, bagels, croissants, bowls and homemade cakes.
Our full breakfasts
All of them come with a hot drink and are served from 08:00 to 13:00:
- El clásico. Choose two toppings for your toast (house butter, homemade red-fruit jam, extra virgin olive oil, grated tomato or truffled cream cheese) with coffee or tea.
- El ibérico. Toast with Iberian ham, grated tomato and olive oil, with coffee or tea.
- El vegano. Muesli bread, hummus, sautéed mushrooms, caramelised onion and truffle oil, with a bowl of fresh fruit.
- El americano. Toast with scrambled eggs and bacon.
- El inglés. Fried eggs, confit tomatoes, bacon, mushrooms and bread.
The full menu, with every price and the allergens for each dish, is on our menu page.
Toasts, bagels, croissants and bowls
Beyond the full breakfasts there are eleven toasts (smoked salmon with poached egg, a Galician one with Arzúa-Ulloa and Cebreiro cheese, vegan, vegetarian, French toast…), bagels with truffled cream cheese or pesto, croissants — including the toasted mixto with ham and Arzúa-Ulloa cheese — and bowls such as chia pudding with mango compote and homemade granola.
There are gluten-free options, and you can swap the bread on any toast for a crisp arepa. If you want to add something, we have extras of egg, avocado, Iberian ham, smoked salmon, cheese or bacon.
Afternoon coffee and cake in Santiago
From 16:30 to 20:00 we serve the afternoon menu: the same toasts and bagels, plus burgers, burritos with nachos, croissants and everything in the cake display — frozen French toast, waffles, pancakes, churros. It is the perfect gap between lunch and dinner, and at that hour the terrace is usually quiet.
